Orvay is located in the heart of the Born district, right in front of the Basilica of Santa María del Mar. Born from the passion for gastronomy and good food, a personal project of Vicente Orvay and Anabel Lázaro, who open the doors of their restaurant to invite you to share, enjoy and feel at home.

  The only restaurant in the world where I dined 2 days in a row - it’s that perfect. Sightseeing in the beautiful historic section of Born in Barcelona, we wanted somewhere to dine close to the La Basilica de Santa María Del Mar where we had just enjoyed a tour and rooftop view. We saw Orvay Born. Inside is an attractive small dining area, but the bar at the front offers a view of the 14-century church and the stone streets. This view was lovely in itself, and the food lived up to the view. The dishes arrived with lovely presentation, and the flavors are the most memorable I have ever experienced from appetizer to entree to dessert. Their wine pairings are a signature service, as well. My birthday was the next day, and while I had researched other restaurants in Barcelona, the meal, view, and service were so exquisite that we made reservations to return the next evening. We have recommended it to others traveling to Barcelona, and 2 other couples from Charlotte have dined there! I still think about Orvay …
